Pack size usually changes the number

The same product line often lists larger packages at a lower price per mg, because larger counts are typically discounted per unit. Using the same example line, a much larger 500-count package listed at $2,333 works out to:

84.9 mg × 500 = 42,450 mg, and $2,333 ÷ 42,450 mg = about $0.055 per mg

Same potency per tablet, same product family — but the per-mg cost drops from roughly $0.095 to roughly $0.055 simply because of pack size. This is the single most common reason two prices look confusing: you are comparing a small pack to a large one. Always compare per-mg to per-mg.

How to read the number responsibly
